In the 1970’s I became an early advocate of the development of a computer-generated artificial intelligence and foresaw that if given sufficient time it would develop the technology and increase to the point of a conscious, sentient world-computer. As a result of my efforts computer and intelligent-technology development moved much faster than I ever anticipated and today computer-generated intelligent computer technology is a realistic possibility.
Computer technology is already beyond today’s artificial intelligence technology as a result of the development of computer systems capable of storing and analysing data more efficiently than artificial intelligence can store and analyse data. Computer technology is already a reality for business systems. Advances in the computer-related fields of imaging technology, sound engineering, and medicine make computer technology a reality for businesses and universities. New computer technologies are already emerging and will continue to emerge. The advent of computer technology is inevitably leading to future changes in society. However, computer technology, like any other technology, has limitations that should be considered and addressed before adopting it for an application. For example, there are problems with computer security.

We could build an intelligent computer system with the potential of giving us the ability to identify a face in an image. However, in some areas of computer technology, computer technology and artificial intelligence technology do not yet perform these types of computer functions.
